2. EyeVac Home

Promising Review: “Love Love Love this thing. I have hardwood floors and two dogs that shed. It's so convenient to sweep the fur to the vacuum and have it suck it right up without me having to bend over with a dustpan.” — kcm

Editor Thoughts: I’m not sure how I de-furred my floors before bringing this beaut of a device into my apartment. You know those frustrating moments when you try sweeping crumbs into a dustpan and that little line starts forming at the edge? Or when you turn on the vacuum and pet hair starts flying like a twister? I don’t anymore (thank god).

3. FURemover Brush

Promising Review: “I bought this broom 2 years ago and it is still going strong! I have 4 large breed dogs and we have fur - EVERYWHERE! This works so so good! I came back and purchased one for my neighbor and sent one to my favorite pet rescue down south. I am always amazed at what this picks up even after I just ran the vacuum. If you remove the head from the handle you can use the head to do in all the crevices along baseboards where fur gets trapped on the carpets. I also use it that way to do the carpet corners on the stairs. Lastly I use it to get dust and cobwebs off the floors and ceilings. It truly is a super tool.” —Roseann

Editor Thoughts: Sweeping with rubber? That can’t be a ground-breaking thing…can it? Oh yes, yes it can. I was recently at my hair salon and noticed they were sweeping up the hair with this nifty little rubber sweeper. I gave it a whirl and haven’t looked back. This works miracles and is a breeze to clean (ever try cleaning nylon bristles of your typical broom, hint, it’s not an easy feat).

4. EXO Multi Insect Killer

Promising Review: “I always know when spring is coming when i start seeing cellar spiders along my basement baseboards. I’ll get rid of them, only for more to come in about a week. I’ll repeat this for the next 7 or so months until late fall when they always seem to stop coming (i guess due to the lower humidity in the winter months). This year I’m trying Evade Natural Multi Insect Killer and so far no spiders. I like that it’s natural and non toxic even if it might mean I have to reapply it more often compared to a normal pesticide. While I have no problems using pesticides outdoors, I always feel uncomfortable using them inside my house even if it says it's safe.” —Richard

Editor Thoughts: Wow, I’ve never been so excited to buy a bug killer. I was pleasantly surprised that it smelled good and actually worked on the bugs around my apartment like ants and my archnemesis, spiders.

5. A Jumbo Pack of Melamine Erasers

Promising Review: “I tried my sponges today, and the first thing I noticed is that they are very durable! I have been using Magic Eraser since they were in the testing phases, and they do not last anywhere close to as long as these do. I usually use Magic Eraser for scrubbing out my shower pan (with Ajax), and by the time I’m done, the sponge has already lost some chunks, and I can normally only get 2 uses out of them. This STK sponge didn’t break at all, and only SLIGHTLY compressed after the first use. I will be buying these again, and save lots of money in the long run.” —KarmaDreams71

Editor Thoughts: You can either time machine back to a time before your kids Crayola'-ed up your walls, or you can get a pack of these erasers. Your choice, but we recommend the latter.

6. Mop Slippers

Promising Review: “OMG these are the best!! I wet them with a bit a floor cleaner, then scrub away with my feet. I have never used a mop, just a wet towel. This is so much easier. Then I just throw them in the washer. But, don’t dry hang up so they air dry. They’ll last longer.” —Kelley T.

Editor Thoughts: Ok, hear us out, walk with us. These furry things are gamechangers. It’s perfect for those, trapped-myself-in-a-corner-after-poor-mop-planning situations, just slide your way out.

7. Drain Snake

Promising Review: “Oh my goodness. This took no effort - I pushed it down the drain and it immediately caught something. What came out was so disgusting, so vile, so yucky that it should have it's own X-Files episode. Before it could lift it's head up and start quoting from the Book of Revelation, I put it in a plastic bag and dispatched it to the firey depths of hell from whence it was birthed. Let some children dig it up in a trash pile in 500 years to have their future told. I wanted nothing of it.” —ecae

Editor Thoughts: Monsters under the bed? Try monsters in the drain. Arguably one of the most disgusting things we have seen, particularly being byproducts of our own bodies, this drain snake revealed all the cards on what’s the down low in those drains.

Promising Review: “I purchased this product to help keep my kitchen cabinets clean. It does not disappoint! I made a 1:10 solution of Simple Green to water in a spray bottle. I sprayed my cabinets generously and wiped them down with a microfiber cloth. The grime came off easily and my cabinets have never looked better. I also used it full strength to clean my wedding rings and it worked fabulously!” — LACG

Editor Thoughts: Recall that metal contraption above your stove that you’ve just accepted is an eternal oil slick? Yes we found that it takes us what feels like a year to surmount the energy to clean up that exhaust fan and all of its little crevices. Promising Review: “So glad I bought this! No more nasty toilet brush!! Yuck! The cleaning pads are super durable and contain a lot of cleaner. I just pop a cleaning pad on and clean the toilet without having to scrub. I move the wand to the wastebasket near my toilet and press the button and it drops in the trash! I return the wand to the awesome holder and done!” — LACG

10. Raycop UV Sanitizing Vacuum

81DWKzj8xNL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Promising Review: “If you want to "clean the unseen then you should definitely get the Raycop! My daughter is severely affected by pollen, dust mites. She specially has difficulty breathing at night but since I have started vacuuming her room and her bed with Raycop her health & sleep has significantly changed for better. I purchased Dyson vacuum cleaner not too long ago hoping that would help but I learned that ordinary vacuums are not eliminating household dust, allergens and bacteria on household fabrics. I would definitely recommend this vacuum to everyone specially if you are suffering allergies.” — HV

Editor Thoughts: In the era of COVID, we are ever so grateful for sanitizers. This vacuum is lightweight and easy to use. Call it our sanitiz-y senses, but we feel so much cleaner sitting on our sofas after a go with the Raycop.
